I worked on publicity for this concert at the Hills Centre, Baulkham Hills, which featured 19 Elvis gospel songs.

 

ONE MAN - STEVEN BERKOFF - Sydney, Seymour Centre - Aug, 2008

For Andrew McKinnon productions, included publicity for national tour to 22 venues

around Australia and NZ.

 

HELPMANN AWARDS - August, 2008

I worked with Bruce Pollack and Ian Phipps to co-ordinate national publicity for the 2008 Helpmann Awards.

 

DORA THE EXPLORER - DORA'S PIRATE ADVENTURE - Sept/Oct, 2008

For AEG Themestar, included seasons at Acer Arena, Sydney; plus Wollongong and Canberra.

 

SYDNEY CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL - Carriageworks, Sept/Oct, 2008

2 week arts program for kids aged 5 - 15 and their families, including performances,

free activities, storytelling, special events, exhibitions and workshops including 

dance, circus, creative arts and visual arts.

BUSTING OUT! - Parade Theatre, Oct 2008.

For Theatre Tours Australia, included performances in Parramatta, Penrith, Casula and Sutherland.

 

LITTLE WOMEN - The Broadway Musical - Seymour Centre, Nov/Dec, 2008

I assisted with publicity for this production for Kookaburra - The National Musical Theatre Company.

One week season of Wollongong production – play by London based Australian playwright Van Badham –

Sydney based publicity only. Producer – Merrigong Theatre Company.

 

ABC-TV’s PLAYSCHOOL – 40th anniversary concerts at Sydney Opera House, Oct 2006

Handled publicity for 5 concerts starring Georgie Parker and Simon Burke over one weekend in October. 

Producers: Sydney Opera House & ABC-TV.

 

FOR MATTHEW AND OTHERS – Journeys with Schizophrenia, Sept/Oct, 2006.  

A series of exhibitions at three Sydney art gallery spaces (Penrith Regional Gallery,

Campbelltown Arts Centre & Ivan Dougherty Gallery) celebrating the work of artists

living with schizophrenia. Included the launch of a publication of essays and biographies

of artists associated with the works.

 

CHILDREN’S CANCER INSTITUTE OF AUSTRALIA

Handled publicity for their 13th annual Diamond Ball held at the Four Seasons Hotel in September, 2006.

 

NO NAMES NO PACK DRILL – NIDA Parade Theatre – Aug 2006

3 week season of this classic Australian play starring Bridie Carter. Producer – NIDA.  

 

AND IN THE END – The Death and Life of John Lennon, March 2006. 

Three week season at the Parade Theatre, Kensington (NIDA), starring British actor Valentine Pelka

(Under the Tuscan Sun, The Pianist) as John Lennon.  Producer - Frank Williams, Leading Edge Events.

 

SYDNEY THEATRE AWARDS  Jan 13 at Statement Cabaret Lounge.

Handled publicity for the Sydney Theatre Awards on behalf of the Sydney Reviewers –

donated services.  Presenters included Cate Blanchett.

 

2005 :

 

A COUPLE OF BLAGUARDS at Seymour Centre, Nov 2005.

For Andrew MacKinnon Productions. Starred Max Gillies and Max Cullen.

  

2004:

 

OH! WHAT A NIGHT at Star City.

Under direction of Bruce Pollack, handled publicity for this musical.  Producer Jon Nicholls.

 

2003:

 

LEADER OF THE PACK at Star City.

Under direction of Bruce Pollack, handled publicity for this mega-musical based on the life

of New York songwriter, Ellie Greenwich. 

 

SYDNEY CABARET CONVENTION at Sydney Town Hall. 

I was contracted by City of Sydney to handle publicity for this five day event at Sydney

Town Hall in May 2003.

 

HELPMANN AWARDS at Star City.

I was asked to assist with publicity for the 2003 Helpmann Awards in a voluntary

capacity which I did in collaboration with Bruce Pollack.

 

2000:

 

OLYMPIC ARTS FESTIVAL

Extensive arts festival held in conjunction with the Sydney Olympic Games

Under direction of Publicity Manager, Sue Couttie at SOCOG, I was contracted to handle

national and international publicity with a  team of publicists from SOCOG. I held the position

of Senior Publicist for nine months, and worked full time through July, August and September,

2000 from the Sydney Media Centre for Leo Schofield and his team to publicise all aspects

of the festival including theatre, dance, music, opera, ballet, visual arts.
